I am new to motor control, and I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on an Arduino compatible (3.3V) module for controlling this DC brushed motor?
I found this driver on Cytron which I think will work, but I'd really like to get access to FLT, SLP, and SNS output.
Depends on what you mean by "control". Pololu has the best selection of high quality brushed DC motor drivers and controllers. Choose a controller if you want it to read the encoder, and set speed or position.
Make sure to choose on that can easily handle the 9.5A start/stall current.
Thanks! Control as in the microcontroller will dictate the speed, direction, and read the encoder value. The driver will be responsible for interfacing with the motors.
Make sure to choose on that can easily handle the 9.5A start/stall current.
What's a general rule of thumb? The driver I found on Cytron handles 13A peak for a few seconds.
