Recommended Kit to Purchase

Hello,

I am signed up to take a Control System Course at University and when I asked the professor what lab kit I needed he said:

Also there are chances of buying an Arduino kit to apply some motor speed control as a practical project for the class. But this is still not finalized, so in case you want to get one, you can buy any Arduino Kit that has a DC motor and a stepper motor. A servo can work instead of stepper as well.

I was wondering if you could make a recommendation on which kit I should purchase?

I don't see any 'starter kit' on Amazon that is a good fit for your needs. You might be better off with getting an Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino V2.3 (about $20), one or more Arduino UNO clones ($8) and whatever servos, steppers, and motors you'd like to control. You can probably strip an old PC printer to get an assortment of stepper and DC motors.
