Has anyone found a good priced, quality adapter they'd recommend? Looking for 12 VDC, 2-3 Amp, adapter (from 110 VAC)
Maybe in the $10-15 range.
With the thousands of cheap adapters out there, it's hard to tell if you getting something that's decent, or a real cheap knockoff. I'm not looking for a high end power supply, just a decent quality adapter to run Arduino projects that have sensors, little motors, etc.
Just buy from a reputable supplier. If you are in the U.S., Jameco, DigiKey, and Mouser are reputable/reliable and they almost always have a link to the manufacturer's datasheet. SparkFun and Adafruit are also reputable suppliers, but I don't know if they have a good selection of power supplies.
If there's just a few-limited specs or if they don't give you the manufacturer & model number so you can find it (or if they give you the manufacturer & model number and you can't find the datasheet) that's a clue that you're not buying from good supplier. Here's an example of a complete datasheet. It shows all of the regulatory approvals, the regulation accuracy, the input voltage tolerance, the physical dimensions, etc.
