Red stripe vs blue stripe 3M ribbon cable - anyone used both?

I need like 500' of 6 pos ribbon and 50' of 16 pos ribbon and I don't really feel like peeling off that much excess wire.

I guess $152 for the 6 pos isn't unreasonable.
