Regarding about Power Supply.

I am going to build a 8x8x8 led cube using Arduino Unno R3 and Shift register 74HC595. Also in project i have a 16 PNP 2n2222 transistor. The power supply requirement of project is 5V 10A power supply. In future i am going to design a LED strip project for PC and Monitor. So it may required a power supply which has high current rating. So right now i am purchase a 5V 60A power supply.

My question is can i use 5V 60A i.e 300Watt power supply in place of 5V 10A power supply ?

So that the cost of 5V 10A power supply will reduced or utilized for buying 5V 60A power supply.

The important spec is the voltage. The circuit will draw the current that it needs so a 5V and 60A supply will work just fine in place of a 5V 10A supply.

A 2N2222 transistor is NPN.

oyyy ya... NPN... My Mistake...

Thanks for the replay.
Do you have a ciruit for 5V 10A power supply.

No, I don't have a circuit. I would buy a ready made power supply of that size. How many Amps do you really need? Buy a supply that has more capacity than you need so that he supply is not operating at the edge of it's specs.
