Regulator LE33A vs AMS117

Hello everybody,

I nead to power an NRF24L01+ and for that i nead to transform 5V to 3.3V.
Should i use LE33A or AMS117.
On the internet every NRF24L01+ adapter use the AMS117, but i have an LE33A. Can i use it or the AMS117 is better ?

Thank your for your help :slight_smile:

Hi,
Can you post links to both of these regulators please?

Thanks.. Tom... :slight_smile:

LE33A = 150ma output current
AMS1117 = 1 amp output current

NRF24L01+ can exceed 100ma current peaks during transmit@ +4dBm output.

The LE33A is likely to have problems suppling enough current at full output power peaks. Proper board layout and decoupling caps would be critical to proper operation.

WattsThat:
LE33A = 150ma output current
AMS1117 = 1 amp output current

NRF24L01+ can exceed 100ma current peaks during transmit@ +4dBm output.

The LE33A is likely to have problems suppling enough current at full output power peaks. Proper board layout and decoupling caps would be critical to proper operation.

Thanks, i will buy AMS1117 then
