Hi,
I read the discussion about the internal rtc in arduino due . But still I have doubt that ,is it work in standalone mode?or much better to attach a new rtc module like DS1307.
It is better to add an external RTC device......... The one built into the due, loses time with every reset and power cycle.

I recommend you a DS3231 if you already didnt buy a DS1307. DS1307 if fine, but less accurate, and the price difference is very small. If you need very very accurate clock maybe ds3234 works for you but it's more expensive.
