Relay Help

I know what I want to do, but have zero electrical knowledge on exactly how to do the following:

I have two Firgelli 12VDC linear actuators which hook into the following driver:

However, I need a safety "kill-switch" apart from any micro-controller interface that will retract the actuators. Here was my idea after floundering the internet:

I get two DPDT relays (one for each actuator) and run them from the same 12V power supply as the driver (reversing polarity and causing the actuators to retract when activated), however, I have no idea how to remotely activate the switches. This is a mobile application and I am not able to manually flick a switch.

Any sites that would provide easy-to-install remote DPDT switches?

It's not really clear what you are trying to describe as you use switch and relay for the same item possibly? Ok you have two DPDT relays that will handle the emegency retraction switching requirements, but you don't know how to activate the relays from a remote location, is that correct?

If so and this is indeed to be a human manually initiated command then you simple mount and wire a simple SPST 'kill switch' where the person can reach it and is simply supplies 12vdc to the relay coils of the two DPDT 'retraction relays'. Does that sound right?

Sorry for interchanging relay and switch, but yes, I don't know how to activate the two DPDT 'retraction relays' remotely. Your idea sounds fine, but I don't know how to remotely activate the SPST switch from 50m away.

You know, I think I may have figured out my problem. Thanks for helping!
