I have a problem with my relays that are controlled by my Arduino uno.
When i connect a LED to the both sides of the relay (NO and NC) the opposite side of what should be powered seems to have a bit power aswell.
When the LED on the NO side is fully lit, the LED on the NC side has a tiny bit of light too, and vice verca.
I'm using the relay in the attatchement. Sorry that I don't have any schematics, bit its wired on the innpust side like the pins say. Ground, vcc (5v+), and signal.
On the oter side I have 12v on the com port, and two LED's on the the other ports. One pin (positive side) of each LED in each port.
I would keep "COM" as GND instead of 12V, then have the LED's both "pointing" toward GND and have their positive ends both connected to 12V. Not sure why one would be slightly on though. What's the exact prewired LED module you're using? (Link?)
Hi,
Use this connection. COM is the common terminal that is switched between NC (Normally Closed) and NO (Normally Open).
The COM NC and NO arrangement may be different to my diagram, but supply goes to COM.
I think that's already what he's doing but somehow he says one LED is lighting up when it shouldn't be. He wants a circuit in which one LED is on while the other is off, and vice versa when the relay is activated.
Hi,
ExpressPCB, very quick and simple to use.
Very clean diagrams without the junk that Eagle puts on the screen.
It has bmp export, but Paint or GIMP can cut/copy/paste and convert it.
Eagle is an over weight CAD, too many parameters for each component, label and line.
It may be good for production development, but I find it a pain to wait to load for a simple show diagram.
You can make components really easily and quickly with Express.
When you download it, no overheads or adverts or unneeded junk apps.
