Remote driveway package alarm/camera/intercom?

I have yet to measure a straight shot from my office down to the point where I need it, but Google Earth puts it at a 90m run. I don't think adding 10 meters for elevation changes and whatnot is out of the question, if not a couple meters shy.

What I want to do:
Have a gate at the end of my driveway with a package drop box. Need comms and video/pics coming back.

Features I'm looking for:
-Camera to monitor everything, even if just slow-refresh images (refresh every second or so). Just to see who is down there; who I'm talking to.
-Notification of drop-box activity. Could be from simple
-2 Way Intercom capability.
-Remote gate opening.

I'm wondering what kind of communication I should ideally use. I could setup a dedicated directional WiFi point-to-point and run down a 120v mains line. I could, maybe, get way with a POE CAT5/6 line only. I would actually much rather run POE and a repeater than mess with WiFi.

And maybe this is a better project for a Pi? I don't mess with the Pi's much, except for OcotPi and RetroPi, but that doesn't exactly take any expertise anymore.

I live in Minnesota, so it needs to work in cold temps, though if I have mains power down there, heating a very small enclosure is no problem.

Thoughts in general? I'm still very much in the initial ideas phase.

There are some POE devices that will do what you want, I saw them about two years ago when I replaced my cameras. I am in Michigan and the cameras keep on ticking. I do not remember what cameras were used and I cannot get to them to read the labels. I hope this helps some, it does not fully answer your question. Also if you run cable always run a spare or two.
