Hey, I am working on a project in which I am looking forward to remotely transfer video over to my pc, (Like used in surveillance system), I have searched through internet and found not very reasonable solutions, They talk about transferring to android phone but currently I want it on my pc and that too without use of a internet based server or router like additional equipment (precisely I just want a camera and hardware on my bot and receive directly on my pc)...
So any one could guide me through about its prerequisites and materials(Of course the simplest way ) 
You can not transfer video with any of the arduinos with the exception perhaps of the Yun.
And even a Yun might disappoint you.

Alternately switch to a Raspberry Pi.

Assuming that the cam is an analog NTSC type cam, just use a wire with the needed number of conductors.
. . . or one of those 2.4GHz Tx/Rx video sender devices.
