Remotexy TEXT field no longer available

Hi Everyone.

In the past I could use the TEXT field to write a batt voltage but this field does not exist anymore.

Did anybody recently used this and found a work around?

I did ask on the Remotexy forum , almost 24hrs now with 8 views and no replies.

There used to be a TEXT option in this part.

I don't know what you are talking about but from your screen grab this widget

or that one

would seem appropriate to write something on the screen ....

Thanks, I have tried them both.
The Remotexy Help pages is very out dated, this is all I could find.
String and Value is never explained anywhere.

looking at th web site, the "new RemoteXY library version 3.1.6" for Arduino" dates back from June 4, 2021...

I had never heard of them and l given the lack of recent updates and/or community engagement, it is possible that the RemoteXY project is no longer actively maintained...

May be that's a sign you should not spend time there.

There is some activity movement.
In Aug 2024 I needed to upgrade the Library due to changes on the Webb editor.
This week I had to upgrade my phone app to make a new project work and to find out that the TEXT field is removed.

What is a good recommended alternative?

what do you want to achieve ?

Arduino IOT might be an option if you want to stay within the Arduino's ecosystem

Do the same as what I have done with Remotexy.
1.Control a few relays and read the batt voltage .. not thru the Cloud but as a direct WiFi access point.

2.Same as above but thru the WiFi from any where.

I am busy with the Arduino Cloud for the last 2+ hours.
Getting started is very hard there is so many web pages with links to other pages and again links to more web pages.

I did manage to setup a cloud Thing ... but how do I download the code to my board???
Very simple 1 button with 1 led.
The code does compile in the Cloud editor.

That said I should start a NEW Topic for this.

Yes

There are basic tutorials to follow (many on YouTube if you are more a visual learner) and you can use the local IDE

In the editor , select Indications , Value box , place on the GUI , .....RHSide menu , select String , write Text ,adjust colors etc,etc

Thanks it works now , I must have missed something .

I tried so many options that I got myself confused.
