Removing line of code causes compilation error

When I comment out a line of code I get a compile error. Attached is the error report

digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW);

delay(3000);

// digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH); <<<<<<<<<< this line.

delay(200);

thanks

Post your entire code and entire error message.

Compiles fine for me, with or without the commented line

void setup() {
  // put your setup code here, to run once:
  digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW);
  delay(3000);
  // digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH);
  delay(200);
}

void loop() {
  // put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
}

Thanks: Yes I see no reason that an error occurs.

I simply run the sketch and it works. When I remove one of the "digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN,HIGH OR LOW)" COMPILE FAILS.

void setup() {

pinMode(LED_BUILTIN, OUTPUT);

}

void loop() {

digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH); // IF I remove either digitalWrites or Both I get a compile fail delay(2000); digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW); // IF I remove either digitalWrites or Both I get a compile fa delay(4000);i

} ERROR ATTACHED

delay(4000);i

What is the i at the end this line?

.

Stray non-ascii whitespace, perhaps.

Zip the code into a zip file.... the one that doesn't compile (ie. zip the actual file itself) ... and upload to this thread. So we can analyse the ascii characters.
