Removing the adhesive backing on breadboards

What is the easiest way to remove the adhesive backing on breadboards?
Would Isopropal Alcohol do the trick? or would it destroy the boards?

Alcohol won't hurt anything, but if you remove the tape you might expose the contacts on the underside (depending on the construction of the breadboard).

Normally, I just leave the tape-backing on. If you want to leave the double-sided foam tape and remove the "sticky", try some flour or talcum powder.

Removal of the tape would mean the metal that holds the legs of components falls out...

Every ebay one that is

Thank you for the input. I put pacing tape over the contacts.
