Rendering issue on iPad

I have an old iPad I use to browse the forums when I'm not at my desk. About three hours ago it stopped rendering properly. If I go to a section like programming, it displays the list of topics briefly, then redraws the page so that only the last two are visible. I can't scroll up to the missing topic - there's nothing there.

I have signed out, rebooted and cleared cookies. The issue persists.

The thing I thought was causing it was that I was halfway through a post on my Mac when I was called away. It likely got saved as a draft which was still active when I tried to use the iPad. I assumed that the tablet was impacted by that state, but I can't see how now that the iPad has lost all its cookies and been bounced.

I'm really not sure what more I can do to test or fix.

Similar problems here.

This site has not been and is not friendly to the iPad.

Have you tried the ‘Desktop View’ i.e. Request Desktop Site ?

I often find clearing all cache etc. in the ‘Chrome Browser’ helps.

I'll try chrome. This was Safari. I've been using it for years without issue though.

Well that's surprising. Chrome is the same. I guess there was an update to the site pushed this morning.

They do NOT deploy at weekends or in the evenings.
Certainly not from Friday afternoon onward.

May be it was a snapple update ?

Desktop view in Chrome works. Thank you.

As to an upgrade from Apple, I think this iPad is too old to get them any more.

BTW there maybe a small upgrade on the way for Forum users and some SNAPple products.
The edit toolbar may once again rise from the ashes of the forum but no promises yet.

It’s been working fine here.

It was tested and found to be some specific apple items and confirmed as a bug.

Great. Thanks!

Hi Bill are you one of those that is affected by the bug ?

Yes I am. Let me know when you want me to test it.

It wont be too soon Bill but it is high on my list.

It would be tested before release so for you it would probably just "happen" LOL

Well not really. When I use my iPad now, I use LarryD's suggestion of Chrome and "Request Desktop Site". So I won't notice the fix.

Incidentally, there is another longstanding issue with iPad and Safari - the Quote function doesn't do anything.

We have a "quote bug" on a list.
