replace B500K poti with digital..

Hello there..
I have a AC dimmer from ebay , and i want to replace the poti with a digital one in order to control it from arduino , the poti is a B500K

Can somebody tell me how am i gonna do it ?

Don't do it! You'll expose your Arduino and possible yourself to dangerous voltages.

The Ardunio should be optically isolated from the AC voltage. A microcontroller-controlledAC dimmer normally has an isolated phase-detector circuit and an isolated TRIAC.

There are digital potentiometers, but I I don't know if they are rated for 120 or 220V ,and again, the important thing is isolation.

I agree with DVDdoug you can't do it without it being fatal.
