I just want to be clear that when I push the button and the motor completes the move I can reset motor position to "0" so that when I push the button again the motor can move again by the same increment -wash, rinse and repeat

I have two stepper motors doing two distinct but related tasks, I'm using Arduino Uno and momentary button switches.

That depends on how you have coded the moves, hence the request to see your code.
You CAN keep track of how many times the stepper has stepped. When you want to reset, just step that number of times the other way.
