Be sure to use the schematic view, not the breadboard view.
I’m sure there’s genuine advantages to doing so...when you at least have a modicum of knowledge of what the symbols mean...but for now, you might as well have told me (atheist English white bloke) to make sure I study the Quran in the original Arabic...
So, regrettably, breadboard for now...
