Resources for learning Eagle

I’ve been sitting in front of Eagle for about an hour now, and I can’t even get a 4051 and a power supply running ;D

Anyone have some links to resources for learning to use Eagle? Or perhaps suggestions of a better program for circuit/pcb design?

Westfw has done some very helpful Eagle instructables : http://www.instructables.com/id/Draw-Electronic-Schematics-with-CadSoft-EAGLE/

Eagle is a frustrating program to learn because its user interface is completely unintuitive. But if you work through the instructables step by step you should be able to get it going.

If you need to know how to do a specific task, just ask. I’ll take a video of it and post it here.

Try to break it down into a specific task, like “rotate an angle other than 90 degrees” instead of “create a part and use it in a schematic and route a PCB”.

mem: The instructable has been very handy.

macegr: I’ll be sure to take you up on that offer if I hit a snag.

Good to hear the instructables have been useful, they were written by westfw so its him you should thank

While I’m proud of my EAGLE instructables:

they’re certainly not the only ones there! Particularly useful other instructables:
