Hello,

Is there anything available like a reverse PCB mount ws2812?

I have some Matias switches that i'd like to have backlit. The switches are clear and diffuse light pretty well. Was trying to avoid having two pcb's (the led PCB underneath the switch PCB) but can't find any reverse mount RGB LED's with a control IC built in (like the WS2812).....

Any thoughts appreciated

I've not seen one. It wouldn't be hard to make a 1mm thick PCB with pads for WS2812B and pads to mount to the bottom of a PCB.
Still two PCBs tho, as you said.

What about drilling a hole in the existing PCB and mounting the WS2812 upside down?

you could do that but, since the terminals don't extend to the top of the chip, you will have to bend them to the PCB.
