Hello everyone,
Got a quick question here. I have a pair of Arduinos talking via some RF modules (cheap and obscure). An Uno is acting as transmitter (RF module plugged into TX pin), Mega 2560 as receiver (RF module plugged into RX pin).
When plugged in via USB all works as it should; the receiver is able to properly read everything. However, once I unplug from USB and go to wall power the communication breaks down.
For the transmitter I was able to resolve this by bridging the RX pin to Ground with a 10K resistor, which was suggested by another forum post. It now starts up and sends messages just fine.
For the receiver, however, I'm unsure of what to do. I can't bridge RX to Ground or else I lose all data, whether on USB or power supply. I also tried bridging RX to TX, as per that same forum post.
Anyone have any insight on this matter?
