Hi, I am new to Arduino.
I'd like to know what should I use to track X and Y axis on a retangular area. Pretty much like GPS tracking, e.g. I want to track a mice movements on a room.
I know GPS would apply as well, but I want to avoid it as I plan to use indoors.

You mean the animal mouse, not a computer mouse?
What area will the room be? How accurate do you need the measurements to be?

Sorry, Yes, I mean an animal mice, bout could be a human a dog or any other moving thing as well.
Ideally the area would be variable around 300 square meters, so I understand I may beed 4 corner points in that case right?
Data does not to be very precise, but of course the more precise the better.
The general topic is "indoor localization", which comes up a lot. As some googling will reveal, it is very difficult to do what you want -- at present there are very few commercial solutions and those that I know about are very expensive.
Radio is almost useless for accurate localization indoors, so most people use video cameras connected to PCs to follow markers on the objects they are tracking.
how about outdoors? Is it feasible and cheaper?
GPS works outdoors and that is the best you can do with radio.
