I'm want to know if its worth using the 13.56Mhz for a project. I would like to know if the antenna will pick up through metal ( a washer machine) or will it work better at 125khz. I was looking at these new washing machines with rfid capabilities and want to know what frequency works best. Thanks for your help.
Looks to me like the NFC/RFID sensors in the "Smart Washer" are behind plastic parts:

No RFID will work through metal.
