Hi, I bought a couple of cheap RGB led floodlights from ebay with the idea of linking a few together controlled by an Arduino for parties. I opened up the floodlight and there's no makers name on the LED unit. I tried grounding the white wire and connecting +5v on to each of the coloured wires, but I can only get a red light. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what voltage these should be?
Much higher than 5V, but if you're flying blind, you'll just have to try increasing amounts. Red requires the least and you're just lucky 5V is giving you a little red.
Awesome thanks, that's all it was, voltage too low. Tried it on a 19v laptop PSU and all 3 working as expected. It was the red one working that threw me, never knew red works on much less voltage. Thanks again.
