RGB LED Matrix

OK I am trying to researach the best way of connecting up and controlling an 8 x 8 RGB LED Matrix using the Arduino, but the options are confusing.

I want to be able to control each LED individually and to have full RGB mixing on each one. What is the easiest way of doing this?

I have 2 x TLC5940's if that helps?

Well the TLC5940 is available easily and cheaply enough, I could get a few more.
