Does OP have the chimes to be ‘hit’ for the sounds, or is he planning to drive an amplifier and speaker to create the sounds.

Power supply, input trigger source etc...
You can produce low-quality audio using PWM on the Arduino. A typical "ding" is just an exponentially decaying sine wave. A little bit of FM makes it more realistic and bell-like.
Or, does the OP wish to trigger an existing door bell?
