Hello. I have accidentally ripped out micro USB power supply port in my waveshare display and after soldering the new one, display turns on but shows only black screen is there something i can do to fix it?
This guy has many good SMC and trace and pad repair videos. Plan your work. Go slow.

Thank you. I think I will just buy a new one, it's not super expensive and I feel like I don't have either patience or skills to fix it myself. I wonder if I could buy just the board without the screen as I believe the screen works just fine (I even will be able to check if that's the case as I have one more identical display), however I couldn't find any board like that sold separately. Do you know if getting just the board is even possible?
LCD I need spare board for: https://www.waveshare.com/10.1inch-hdmi-lcd-b-with-case.htm
You can ask the vendor but for ones probably not.
Happened to me several times. Try one of the second hand cellphone shops. Ring them up to ask, if you do not know one who is surely doing such repairs. Approx. 20-30 bucks. I hope the guy who tried first did not burn the PCB. I phase out any USB-Micro boards and buy only some with USB-C.
USB-C is much more robust and if you clamp it between two fingers when inserting or removing the cable, it will last a long time. Unlike this USB-Micro crap.
