RN42-1 and arduino uno

Hello arduino forum
i have recently bought a Bluesmirf HID breakout with the RN-42 bluetooth in it...
i have loaded up a program to my uno that sends characters over bluetooth. i have connected my modules rx/tx to the tx/rx on the uno
but when i to connect to this on my windows 7 laptops built in bluetooth i cannot succed but it works just fine on my iphone ? i have been at this for hours and i have searched google thin trying to find somekind of solution or just a hint but wasnt successfull.
Can someone here maybe shed some light on the problem ? or somehow push me in the right direction ?

i can connect the device in spp and then communicate with it using a terminal but as soon as i switch it to HID i can only connect it to the phones ... when i add it in windows windows says its added but it doesnt start a connection ?
