Robot algorythim to clean 2x2m balcony!

I have 2x2m balcony, there is 3 chairs in it.

I want to build a robot to clean it everyday.

I saw a lot of projects for arduino cleaning robot but it's a complete random moving.

Because it's random, it could pass the area a couple of times and not hitting other areas.

That's require big battery because it will run for hours until everything is clean.

I have cleaning robot xiaomi, but there is stairs, so it can't go there.

I tried to make the xiaomi clean it and finished everything in 2 mins.

because it has mapping future.

I want to build something simple without adding expense lidar sensors. just a couple of ultrasonic and infrared sensors.

With two motors, not sure what motor to use yet.

Any suggestions for the algorithm?

Can you make a map for your robot to follow (and to avoid the stairs)?

I can, but the chairs can move slightly 5-10cm.

I will remove the table tho

There is a door frame, so the robot will not fall from the stairs

That's how lawn moving robots work. Time makes them pass all spots.

If you create a line-following robot, you could lay tape and have the robot follow the line (about 20cm wide).
