Robot controlled by Bluetooth on iphone. How do I control with Arduino?

I have a robotic toy that I purchased and there is an app that I open on my iphone to control the robot.

I would like to control the robot with my arduino instead, but I am not sure how..

One way I've thought is to maybe use a stylus with servo motors to press the buttons on the iphone app screen. Is there any easier way?

They don't have an Android app ?

I’m sure there is. Since the iPhone already commands the toy directly via bluetooth, I guess it isn’t too much of a stretch to imagine Arduino doing the same thing, but your approach will be a lot more entertaining.

The robot is this: Sphero's Star Wars BB-8 Droid | Demo - YouTube

It's a robot that is app controlled.

Instead of app control I want to make arduino control it instead...
