Did you made a project using this device?
No project, just a google search. There are several projects out there that all appear to add additional electronics to convert a basic rotary encoder into an I2C device.
I used google and searched for "rotary encoder i2c"
For what purpose? Manual input? RPM measurement? Absolute angle?
As manual input for an HMI.
Continuous or absolute?
W/out detent?
Continuous and with detent?
Like the Rotary Encoder KY-040.
Why do you think that an I2C interface will simplify your project? Waiting for human interaction leaves much time for the simple direct polling of the encoder. See e.g. this page.
I´ll do the hardware design for (n+1) rotary encoder simply scaleable.
