I found some interesting rotary switch with on/off at first click then linear potentiometer.
But I'm looking for something with on/off a the beginning and 5-6 clicks (positions) to choose menu on a Analogic entry. I want each click to let the device On and not turn it off.
But It seems to me that it’s not possible to have the first pin on ground (for off) ans the 4 other ones on Vcc and the analogic pin of arduino ?
Don’t you think my chip is not going to turn off at each click ?
Could you show me a scheme with your rotaty switch please ?
Thanks.
Btw,
are a lot linear pots dith on/off
For example :
There are hundreds of variations of rotary switches, decide what you want, and most likely you will find it, but you need to search it out. Many sites have parametric searches, which may speed up the search process
There used to be lower priced version which iirc was named ‘make-a-switch’ , or buy a couple or more cheap wafer switches and dismantle/rebuild or otherwise couple together.
if you can’t pind one with a push switch, then mount the rotary switch in a flexible manner, with a push button behind it, That can be a bit of mechanical engineering
Could you show me a scheme with your rotaty switch please ?
No, because your explanation of what you want to do is not clear enough to show you how to do it.

Well Amazon are famous for having sellers who don’t know what they are selling. Looking at the comments from people who used the product to successfully repair radios it sounds like it was a log pot, because a linear pot would have been awful in such a repair.
