ROTATING FLOOR PLAN

Hi,
So I am an Architecture student interested in creating an dynamic architecture model. I want to create a 3D model of my building but have it so one of the floors on my building rotates outwards 90 degrees so it is possible to see the inside of it. Meaning that it will be a normal architectural model but I want to incorporate some arduino devices and code so one of the floors will rotate out of the building 90 degrees or 180 degrees to show the inside of it. Is this feasible?

Thanks!
Ahmed

How is this related to an Arduino project ?

Yes you could do this using small servos

Also easily add remote control, too. IR or Bluetooth pretty easy.

Look at pivot door hinge for an idea.
Of Course you floor woud be flat in height compared to a door

You add lights as well

Yes. You need to make the model, work out the system for rotating such as an axle then do some research on how to drive servos or stepper motors and the associated coding. Get it all together, post parts, schematics and attempt at code. Read forum guidelines for best results

awesome thanks for the advice

Probably more appropriate to look at "gearmotors".
