Row Column Scanning Tutorial (12v led)

ok, ive found some working code, and relevanted it to my matrix, i can code the patterns, but i just want to rotate through the patterns... this code scrolls the patterns.

how can i disable the pattern movements, but just have it displaying the patterns

i can stop the movement, but without changing pattern, and i can speed up / slow down
