Simple question I hope about the RP2040 microcontroller (not any specific board).
If I purchase a loose chip from, say Digi-key or Mouser, will it come with a bootloader already?
If not, will figure out whether I can add one or not.

DigiKey and Mouser are usually pretty good at supplying datasheets and answering questions.
The rp2040 has a bootloader in ROM, from the factory.
