RP2040 not working on USB Port

Hello,
i use multiple RP2040's for one of my Projects. Recently i could no longer uplaod from one of my USB Ports on my Laptop. I however need both of them since i am always working with two Arduinos at the same time.

Whenever I plug an Arduino in the IDE 2.0 recignises the board but i cant open a com-port and upload fails. From time to time windows gives me a warning: "The connected device is broken". Sometimes O get one upload through and then it stops working. Sometimes the board doesnt even show. It works fine on the other port?

Other USB devices work fine on the port. What could be the issue here?

I am using a Thinkpad with Win11 and all Drivers are updated.

I think you have developed a fault in the USB cable. I have found these not to be as reliable as other connectors, so I would try another cable.

Does the fault follow the cable if you swap it?

Hi thaks for the reply. That seemed like a good call. I now tested with the same cable on the other USB Port and with a different cable on the same one and still it only works on the other USB Port.
