RR3 RF receiver

Hi everybody!
I'm new to arduino, although I'm getting along great because I have a background in programming.
Anyway, I found a RF receiver and a car remote.
The receiver is RR3-433, which I hooked up like so(the right square is the arduino):

And the remote works on a slightly different frequency, 443.92, looks like this one:

So the other day I hooked the receiver up to the arduino and tried to detect the remote code so I can run them with arduino.
I tried to use digitalRead in each iteration and serial read
It worked fine(with A LOT of noise and false '1's) and than I had to go.
Today I hooked it up again and it showed a constant '1'. I thought I burnt the receiver.
BUT when I disconnected it from the arduino(UNO compatible board), it showed a pulse of 111110000011111000001111100000... for a couple of seconds and than went back to constant '0' with noises.

What did I do? Did I destroy the board? Can I fix it?

Thank in advanced=]

Those 433 ASK radios generate a lot of noise , as you are seeing.
To determine what the keyfob is sending, its much easier to pull the keyfob apart
and connect the Arduino to the data pin of the transmitter in the keyfob.
That way, all the noise is removed, and you get a clear indication of the transmitter data
which makes it easier to decode.

Wow, that's pretty smart=]
But the noises are showing even with nothing connected(when I get home i'll send an example).
Plus, I really want to know what is that mysterious pulse
