I have started arduino programming recently. Previously I was using C51 processors.
I have a question regarding RS485 communication between multiple arduino boards. In 51 processors there was a SM2 bit in SCON SFR for multiprocessor communication. When SM2 is set the "RI" flag will only be triggered if the 9th bit received was a "1". So the controller will not be interrupted continuously.
Whenever the master (PC) sends address it will set the 9th bit so that every slave can read it. The addressed slave will then clear the SM2 bit & will be interrupted always until another address is sent by the master.
I would like to know whether it is possible in arduino (ATmega328) too.
