runing 6v mottor on 7.2v battery and ln754410ne ?

hi i opened my rc car and found two rs-380sh motors(datasheet: http://www.mabuchi-motor.co.jp/cgi-bin/catalog/e_catalog.cgi?CAT_ID=rs_380sh ). I want to drive them from my arduino using ln754410ne. -1. Can i run 6vmottor on 7.2v battery?

-2. In datasheet it says that at maximum efficiency current is 4.4 A so is that too much for ln754410ne?? If ln754410ne isn't working what should i use? 4 transistors ?

ps: sorry for my english

Well that chip's datasheet says it can provide 1A per driver, or 2A per motor so it's half what you say you need.

BUT.... the even bigger problem is the 24A at stall- you have to cater for that.

thanks for that so should i use some transistors? if yes which one

so should i use some transistors? if yes which one

I have no idea... 24A strikes me as huge. You'll need to wait for others to respond.

Edit.... take a look at reply #3 to this thread... afaik, the L293 and your LN754410 are essentially the same.
