Running an AD5780 via a microcontroller

Hello, I am trying to get this code running

which works perfectly on my MC, but I am not outputting a voltage through my DAC.

I have looked through the datasheet and through the drivers AD5780 - Microcontroller No-OS Driver [Analog Devices Wiki] extensively.

I had to change the SS pin for my setup, but I am basically running this raw. I read 0 from the 3 registers, so I assume that some functionality of the DAc is working?

What could be wrong with why I cannot output a voltage? i've checked that I have the right SPI pins and everything

That's quite a complicated chip - can you post a schematic of how its all connected up and
powered?

Do you have a 'scope?
