Well, I would put serious money on it being a KS0066 character LCD display.
It might have the standard HD44780 pinout (without the backlight)
If so, it would work with your standard LiquidCrystal library.
OTOH, it might be completely different. Nothing much to lose. If you trash it, a new 16x2 will only cost you a couple of dollars even with an I2C adaptter.
