Sallvaging an LED panel

I have a spare cheap, outdoor, mains voltage, PIR LED floodlight that's gathering dust, and a small project for which I was going to use something like 5050 LED strips.

I'm guessing the floodlight runs at about 10W and uses some sort of COB LED panel, and I'd probably only want to run it at 10% power, or maybe less (TBC).

I'd rather not break open the floodlight if the parts are no use to me, but does anyone know whether it's likely to be possible to run such a panel with PWM in the same way as you would with eg a 5050 LED strip?

The problem is that the LEDs are not isolated from the mains. They will all be in series, operating at something like 30 to 45 V.

Fair enough. Thanks.

Is it worth your time, 5050 LED strips are very cheap especially from the china suppliers. That way you know what you have and you also get to pick the color. PWM will work if wired properly.
