SAMD board packages unable to install from Board manager

Hey Hi,

I am new to Arduino and starting with the "Adafruit QT Py - SAMD21 Dev Board with STEMMA QT" and following its Arduino start-up guide. When I try to install "Adafruit SAMD boards" and "Arduino SAMD boards" packages in the Board Manager, I get errors as
Error: 13 INTERNAL: Server responded with: 403 Forbidden
Error: 2 UNKNOWN: read tcp 10.122.168.169:58977->104.18.13.241:80: wsarecv: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
I tried by off Antivrus and running the Arduino in administrator mode and also PC restart, it is not working, but I am able to download other board packages. Could please help out?

Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Your error messages seem to indicate that you're using IDE 2.x and hence you topic has been moved there.

Can you provide the link to the additial URL that you have added and to the guide that you're following?

I'm not the one that wil be able to help but it might help others to help you.

yeah sure, the additional URL used is
https://adafruit.github.io/arduino-board-index/package_adafruit_index.json
from the website (Arduino IDE Setup | Adafruit QT Py SAMD21 | Adafruit Learning System)

Hi @siddie_arduino. Does the problem still occur if you try again now?

This type of problem might be caused by a transient network outage. These usually resolve themselves after a matter of minutes; hours at worst. If so in this case, I would expect you would no longer experience the problem now.
