Saving mode GPS Neo 6M

Hello everyone,

I have some trouble to understand if it’s possible or not to put my NEO 6M GPS in saving mode without having access to the pin.
I have a breakout board with only the power and the serial pins available. Can I through the Tx and Rx pins send a command to put the GPS in saving mode ?

The same question is with the HC-05 or 06 bluetooth module.

If there is a possibility do you have an example ?

Thanks for taking time !

I am not an English native, excuse me for my mistakes.

Can I through the Tx and Rx pins send a command to put the GPS in saving mode ?

Yes, you can send a command to put the NEO-6M into different power modes. See Section 9 of the NEO-6M Protocol specification. It describes the different power modes.

The spec says, “Power modes are selected using the message CFG-RXM.” That is a UBX binary message, described in Section 31.20.2.

The header and checksum for the UBX protocol is described in sections 22 to 26.

Cheers,
