Merry Christmas all users,
I am just about to start my Christmas project this yea and I have chosen a rather complex (For me) a 4x4x4 RGB led cube. Using 3 TLC5490 and many common anode RGB LEDs. I haven't thought of programming until now but i have a concern with the duty cycle for each on each LED.
Question 1:
I of course scan each layer with the different values of RGB for each LED but how long should I keep this layer on?
For example i turn layer 0 on for 10ms then off then layer 1 on for 10ms? Will this be OK?
Question 2:
If I have a pattern for example a simple sin curve on the 4 walls, how would I measure for each cycle (Scanning) should be on for? Is there a timer layer for this? Would I have to use interrupts for example a button press to change to a different pattern?
These are quite basic questions that hopefully allow me to continue for a little bit. But I am excited to get it working! I have nearly finished my design to be 3D printed. Take a look VVVVV
any help would be greatly appreciated! Have any arduino users made one? If so how did it work out for you in the end?
