Schematic of and old dumb terminal.

Hi!

I recently salvaged an old dumb terminal from a telephone system. My plan is to interface the keyboard and find some sort of video input so that I can use it in future projects with an Arduino. Now, all the information I have about this device is attached below, but even though I was able to find an user manual (in French) I could not find an electrical diagram. Should somebody know some website where I could find it, I would be very grateful.

Write to Alcatel and ask them.

Pinouts for DIN connector and Arduino support here: https://github.com/01010101/Minitel

The DIN connector only has audio, already tried that
Do you think Alcatel would answer?

Write to them and let us know!

Audio?
The DIN connector is supposed to have TX-RX at 1200 Baud on 5V Open collector outputs and TTL levels.
Perfect to interface with an Arduino. Forget video.
The connecor also provides 8,5 V that would have been perfect to feed Vin.
IUMHO you will not need a schematic.
All persons who did work on that device @ Alcatel are probably retired.
You may ask, but don't be disapointed if you get no answer...

P.S: the thread would have been better localized in "Device Hacking".

Mostly french, but google translate is your friend
Basically it's a serial terminal with integrated modem. Easy to interface with an arduino (bypassing the modem part).
