I 3D printed something to fit behind the pinball backglass that can hold 9 LEDs. As the score rolls over an LED will light up, and one more will light up each time the score rolls over. The LEDs are behind the flags in the attached picture above the score reels. Add 100,000 for each lit flag to know your score...
I am wanting to utilize the way the score reel works to accomplish this. The number 9 is special on these score reels and when it goes from 8 to 9 it actuates a stack of switches. I added my own switch to this stack which remains open until the reel turns to 9...stays closed while on 9...and opens again when turning to 0. So it is that change from 9 to 0 that I am wanting to trigger an LED to light behind the flags.
