Scratch

Hello!
Have anyone here heard of Scratch? It is a program that lets you make things like games and animations by dragging blocks of code around. It is meant for non-programmers and beginner programmers. It sort of looks like a programming language (with no typing and no compiler errors). Their website is http://www.scratch.mit.edu/. I made a Card Bomber game: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/dkl65/2611512. I got a High Score of 146 for my own game!

yea, I have heard of it, but just a bit past the target audience, I write scripts to control scripts it seems like nowadays

There is also GameMaker ( http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/windows ), which was pretty cool, last time I looked.

What do you mean "just a bit past the target audience"? What programs did you write? It would be cool if Scratch released a more advanced version for programmers that has Serial communications!

far as games, I am currently writing an Apple II action rpg type game using basic, as far as programs that I write ... PLC control, sensor data collection systems, electronic test machines, data storing sorting presentation, and all kinds of other automated do-dads and widgets.

The Job I recently landed though finally broke me of the habit of writing everything in pascal, learning C# which is a total step backwards, but I am not the only person in the state who will know how to read and write the inner company source code now, lol
