SD Card on a 3.3V arduino

i am designing a custom arduino PCB and I plan on using an ATmega328. I am going to run the whole thing at 3.3V Can I connect an SD card directly into the chip or do i still require extra components? If so can someone please explain the pinout. Thanks in advance.

If your MCU runs at 3.3V you can drop the level conversion circuitry, so yes, you can connect the SD socket directly to the MCU.

See something like http://www.bot-thoughts.com/2010/02/logging-data-to-sd-cards.html for more info.

Hope this helps,

Brad.

Hey Thanks that's perfect.
