Searching index and after 20 sec calibration error rfr wheel config

Hi, I'm making a DIY FFB Steering Wheel with Arduino Leonardo.
I'm not able to move the motor, it's a 12v DC motor , for the driver I'm using a BTS7960B H-bridge.
i am using rfr wheel config and following the schematic of this website Tutorial Steering Wheel with Arduino Leonardo | KASKUS
If i Press "Calibrate" Button in the "Steering" section the motor starts turning a bit and the device status changes to "searching index", what does It mean? What do i have to do?, and after 10/20 seconds It change in "Calibration error". Can someone help me?
i am using a 600 pr encoder

pls help i have tried making it work for a week and cant find anything

Sorry. You didn't pick up the idea. I revert to other projects, my own.

found fix u need to add a 1k resistor betwen 5v+ and rx and another 1k resistor betwen 5v+ and tx
if that doesnt work just reverse ur resistors
